A couple of weeks ago, I had an amazing opportunity to travel to Rome. I was invited by my customer, Sabina Guidotti, the owner of Bludiprussia a paint and wallpaper showroom situated right by the Vatican walls! A couple of years ago, I had an email from Sabina. She was interested in my wallpapers and fabrics and soon after, we met up in London with her good friend, David Oliver, the founder of Paint & Paper Library. They were wonderful to me and were both very enthusiastic about my work, all three of us having a common interest in colour and patterns. So when Sabina told David that she was planning at launch party at her new showroom in Rome, he suggested that she ask me to do a printing demo and a workshop! Having designed the logo for her shop, I carved a new block and I hope these photos do all the explaining! Enjoy! ~ Kiran
And finally, with the lovely Sabina herself!
Sometimes, it takes just one person to have a little faith in you for it to mean so much.
Excited to launch my new wallpapers and fabrics to match. It’s been great working on some new designs and putting the new collection together. I’ve added more rhythm and movement to my designs along with some simple geometric shapes. Each design was hand carved on lino and then printed on to fabric before being repeated and printed on really good quality paper here in the UK.
